Coillte 10K Dundrum Athletic Club (2000hrs Wednesday03July 2019)

The Dundrum AC hosted Coillte 10K went ahead at Dundrum Village, Co. Tipperary on Wednesday 3rd of July, Our Club had three athletes taking part in the 2 Laps of 5K all performing very well with Derek Walsh finishing in 10th place in a time of 33.56 and taking 1st o/40 prize followed by Aaron O’Donnell who is in improving form lately, to finish strong in 36.05, Eugene O’Keeffe ran well to take the 2nd o/50 prize in 39.32, Overall race winners were David Mansfield, Clonmel AC in 31.04 and Siobhan O’Doherty, Borrisokane AC in 36.49, Well done everyone.

  

Clerihan 5 Mile and 5K Clerihan GAA (1930hrs Friday 12 July 2019)

 The Clerihan GAA 5 mile and 5k road races 2019took place on a Bright Sunny evening at Clerihan Co. Tipperary Friday 12 July. Well done to Eugene O’Keeffe who ran a very good race to take 3rd overall in the men’s race and well done to all our athletes that took parts, all running very well in both 5k and5 mile distances In the 5 Mile Race we had Eugene O’Keeffe, 3rd man overall in 31.06, followed by Deirdre Power in 38.45, Mary Kelly in 39.06, Derek O’Dwyer in 43.41, Sean Dunne in 44.13, Catherine O’Donovan in 45.28 and Mary Fitzpatrick in 46.20 and the 5K Race we had Sinead Dunne in 26.12 and Ber Glascott in 31.18. Well done everyone. Overall race winner in 5k were male, Conor Ryan, Clonmel AC 17.30 and female, Roisin McLaughlin, Fermoy AC 21.09. 5 mile race male, Emmet McNamara, Rosegreen in 26.26 and female, Angela McCann, Clonmel AC in 30.50

  

Curragh Wood220Metre/7KM Irish Mountain Running Association (2000hrs Wednesday10July 2019)

 

The Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA) hosted a hill race at Curragh Woods, Co. Cork on Wednesday 10th July last. Patrick Roche travelled to this event which is laid out in the figure of eight course going through narrow trail, uphill, downhill and through vegetation and trees, the race distance of 7KM and climb of 220 metre. Patrick running his first hill race ran well to finish in 3rd place overall and 2nd o/40 in 35.34, well done  Overall winners: Tim O’Donoghue, East Cork in 30.08 and Kealey Tideswell Clonmel AC in 41.50.
