Morris Oil Piltown 10km (Fri. 3 Aug, 2012 7:30 pm)

This race is run over a fast course with the first mile and a half on the grounds of Kildalton Horticultural College. Runners exit the college grounds at the top of the village of Piltown and then take in some quiet country roads before finishing for the first time on the Piltown GAA club grounds. If you are looking for a personal best time over the 10k distance, then this race provides an ideal opportunity.

Parking and registration (race entry is €10) will be at Piltown GAA Club from 6pm where there will also be shower facilities and of course the post-race refreshments and prize-giving. Online registration is also available on http://www.runireland.com/ . The race will start at 7:30pm just inside the gates of Kildalton College (across the road from Piltown GAA club). Fit-4-Life Programme (Tue. 7 Aug, 2012 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

The fit-4-life programme continues on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm for the first three Tuesdays of August, and all of these sessions will take place in Carrick - the meeting place is the Sean Kelly Sports Centre to do the Killonery loop. All are welcome to these social runs which have been very well attended throughout 2012.

'My Dress' One Mile Challenge (Tue. 28 Aug, 2012 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

The one mile challenge event returns this year on Tuesday 28th August and continues for five weeks to the 25th of September. Each event takes place in Carrick (the meeting place is the Sean Kelly Sports Centre) at 7 pm and all are welcome to join in what is mainly an enjoyable social run which will help prepare all for the upcoming winter league.
