70th Anniversary Games, Moyne Athletic Club (1830hrs Thursday 12July 2018)
The 70thAnniversary Games 2018 took place at Moyne Athletic Club on Thursday 12th July last. This was an event with u13 600 metre, 200 and 400 metre in different categories, B mile race and Field events with Long Jump and Weight for Distance. The two main events were Senior Women’s 800metre and Senior Men’s A mile race The winners in the two main events inthe Women’s 800 metre was Amy O’Donoghue, Emerald AC, in 2.06.67 and the A mile race was Sean Tobin, Clonmel AC in 4.04.48 Patrick Roche took part in the B mile race, Patrick ran a good mile race to finish 4th with a new PB time of 4.58.70, Well done Patrick
Clerihan 5 Mile Run (1930hrs Friday13July 2018)
The Clerihan 5-mile road race 2018 took place at Clerihan,Co. Tipperary on Friday 13 July. Race winners were Emmet McNamara, Rosegreen, time 26.58 and Madeline Loughnane Thurles Crokes AC time 30.37, we had an excellent representation from our club with our first finisher Andrew Downey finishing in a time of 31.38 follow with fine running from Eugene O’Keeffe in 33.04, Seamus Ward in 35.01 and Mary Molloy in 36.18. Well done everyone.
