AutoPower Rathgormack '5' this Friday

The tenth annual AutoPower Rathgormack 5-mile road race and sponsored walk will take place this coming Friday, 8th July, starting at the Hiking Centre in the village. This is the fourth race in this year's Outfield Sports Three-Counties Challenge, a series of five races in counties Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny organised by Carrick-on-Suir AC.
Race entry is €10 and registration will be at the Hiking Centre from 6pm with the race getting underway at 7:30pm. There will be prizes for the first three finishers in both the men's and ladies' races as well as in the usual age categories. Team prizes will also be on offer with three to score per team.

Last year's men's race was won by Danny Smith from Ballynonty AC and Sally Forristal from St. Josephs AC took the ladies' first prize. Slight alterations to the start and finish of the race route will make for a faster, flatter finish to this year's renewal.
Prize-giving and post-race refreshments will be held in the Hiking Centre. The club is also grateful to Glanbia who are giving Protein milks to all race finishers.
To celebrate the tenth year of this event there is a sponsored walk over five miles which will start at 7pm. Entry for the walk is free but we are asking that participants help to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. This can be done by making a donation on the night or online at Read Johnny's story

Alternatively, you can get a sponsorship card by calling Johnny Brunnock on 086-8483210.
